The Morningstar Rating is a ranking given to publicly traded mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Morningstar assigns ratings based on comparisons of all funds within a specific Morningstar Category, rather than all funds in a broad asset class. The star rating is based on risk-adjusted performance by equalizing the risk levels of the return of two funds before comparing them.

Funds receive ratings ranging from 1 to 5, with 1 given to the worst performers and 5 for the best. The ranking is based on variations in a fund's monthly returns – with an emphasis on downside variations – as compared to similar funds. Since the Star ratings are only based on past performance, they should not be the only factor for investment decisions.

The Morningstar Risk Adjusted Return (MRARs), commonly referred to as the Star Rating, relate the risk-adjusted performance of a fund to its peers with the same CIFSC Fund category for the period ended as noted and are subject to change monthly. Morningstar calculates ratings for categories with at least 5 funds. To determine a fund’s rating, the fund and its peer are ranked by their MRARs. If a fund scores in the top 10% of its category, it receives five stars (High); if it falls in the next 22.5% , it receives four stars (Above Average); the next 35% earns a fund three stars (Neutral or Average); those in the next 22.5% received two stars (Below Average); and the lowest 10% received one star (Low). The overall rating is a weighted combination of the 3, 5 and 10 year ratings.

Morningstar Ratings reflect performance as of September 30, 2024 and are subject to change monthly. The ratings are calculated from the funds’ three and five-year returns measured against 91-day Treasury bill and peer group returns. The top 10% of the funds in a category get five stars. RISK TOLERANCE

Risk tolerance measures the degree of uncertainty that an investor can handle regarding fluctuations in the value of their portfolio. The amount of risk associated with any particular investment depends largely on your own personal circumstances including your time horizon, liquidity needs, portfolio size, income, investment knowledge and attitude toward price fluctuations. Investors should consult their financial advisor before making a decision as to whether this Fund is a suitable investment for them.

Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with mutual fund investments. The indicated rates of return are the historical annual compounded total returns including changes in units [share] value and reinvestment of all distributions [dividends] and do not take into account sales, redemption, distribution or optional charges or income taxes payable by any security holder that would have reduced returns. The rates of return are used only to illustrate the effects of the compound growth rate and are not intended to reflect future values of the mutual fund or returns on investment in the mutual fund. Mutual funds are not guaranteed, their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated.
